Black Limba Cheese Slicer with Cheese Tray
What a beautiful pair this is. Add a bottle of wine and a wedge of cheese, and you'll have a beautiful gift basket! It is made from Black Limba, which comes from the tropical western Africa region. It is enhanced with a Padauk wood (from the tropical western Africa region) wave going through the middle. The border of the cheese slicer is made from African Mahogany, while the cheese trays' border is made from Afrormosia (African teak).
The cheese slicer board is 9 3/4" (24.7cm) long, 7 1/2" (19.05cm) wide, and 3/4" (1.9cm) thick. Overall length is 10 1/2" (26.67cm), 10" (25.4cm) wide.
The cheese tray is 9" (22.86cm) long, 7 1/2" (19.05cm) wide, and 3/4" (1.9cm) thick.
The boards have been treated with 100% food-safe Walrus cutting board oil/cutting board wax (made in the US). The bottom of each board has slip-resistant feet. Two extra slicers and a wrench are included.
CARE OF THE BOARDS: Hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse and wipe dry. Do not leave to soak in water. Do not place in dishwasher.
Wood Sustainability:
Black Limba - This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Padauk - Is listed in CITES Appendix II under the genus-wide restriction of all Pterocarpus species from Africa.
African Mahogany - African mahogany is listed in CITES Appendix II under the genus-wide restriction of all Khaya species from Africa. Additionally, all the primary Khaya species of African mahogany are on the IUCN Red List.
Afrormosia - This wood species is in CITES Appendix II, and is on the IUCN Red List.

I work closely with my suppliers to ensure that Responsible Forestry Practices are being followed. My lumber suppliers actively combat illegal logging and have policies in place regarding planned felling, minimum tree diameter, and felling rotation to ensure regrowth.
