Bloodwood Fountain Pen
This is a beautiful Postable Fountain Pen that's made from Bloodwood. Postable means that the cap comes off and connects to the body.
Bloodwood comes from Tropical South America, traditionally known by the name Satine, but most people now call it Bloodwood. The scientific name is Brosimum rubescens.
Hand-cast inserts on the cap and post give this Pen a distinctive, unrivaled beauty.
German-made two-tone nib with iridium point for smooth writing and dependable ink flow using a quality fountain ink refill cartridge.
Specifications
The metal fittings are Rhodium and 22k Gold.
The overall closed length is 5 1/2" (13.97cm), open length is 6 1/2" (16.51cm), 9/16” (1.42cm) wide.

Construction
The very first thing I do is hand select each piece and then turn the pen to its final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits of sandpaper, to create a very smooth surface. Multiple different glues and waxes are applied to protect the pen for years of hard use. Each pen goes through a 21 step process to achieve the lustrous polished to a mirror-like shine.
This Bloodwood Fountain Pen comes in a custom Maple/Walnut wooden box. The pen and box that you see in the pictures is the one you will receive.
