Highly Figured Cocobolo Aromatherapy Pen
This is a unique stylish pen that offers the benefits of aromatherapy everywhere you go. Easily add your favorite essential oils by adding a few drops to the included cotton wick.
Cocobolo is an exquisite exotic wood that comes from Central America. Cocobolo is in limited supply and is also in relatively high demand. Cocobolo is listed on CITES appendix II under the genus-wide restriction on all Dalbergia species—which also includes finished products made of this wood (though finished items under 10 kilograms are exempted). It is also listed on the IUCN Red List as vulnerable due to a population reduction of over 20% in the past three generations, caused by a decline in its natural range, and exploitation. With that being said, please know that I only source my wood from reputable sources.
Pen Specifications
The metal fittings are Satin Chrome. The overall length is 5 3/4" (14.60cm), width is 1/2" (1.27cm) wide.
This is a twist pen.
It also includes 5 wicks and an empty 2ml aromatherapy sample jar.
Note; essential oils are not included but are widely available.
It takes a Parker-style ballpoint refill.
Pen Construction
The very first thing I do is hand-select each piece and then turn the pen to the final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits of sandpaper, to create a very smooth surface. Multiple different types of glue and waxes are applied to protect the pen for years of hard use. Each pen goes through a 21-step process to achieve the lustrous polished to a mirror-like shine.
Your pen will come in a blue velvet box.
The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. Unfortunately due to the limited availability of this wood, I will not be able to offer multiple pens.
