Spalted Tamarind Razor Handle and Stand

The metal fittings on both the handle and stand are gun metal.  The stand is weighted on the bottom.

 

Razor handle measures 5" (12.7cm) in length (not including the included razor blade) by 1/2" (1.37cm) wide.

 

Includes one Gillette® Mach3™ cartridge.

 

Razor stand measures 5 1/4" (13.33cm) tall by 3 1/4" (8.25cm) base width.

 

Stand weighs 12.6oz (358gm).  The handle is perfectly balanced at 1.7oz (47gm) with the blade attached.

The very first thing I do is hand-select each piece and then turn the wood into the final shape. The wood is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits of sandpaper, to create a very smooth surface. Multiple different types of glue and waxes are applied to protect the item for years of hard use. Each item goes through a 21-step process to achieve the lustrous polished to a mirror-like shine.

Since each item is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, I will do my best to create one that looks similar using the same wood and finish.
