Walnut Accent Charcuterie Board
Charcuterie Board is made with a Black Walnut wood accent strip between Soft Maple and Southern Red Cedar. This Walnut was locally harvested from the western part of Illinois. Soft Maple comes from the Northern parts of the United States, Southern Red Cedar comes from the Southeastern parts of the United States.
Specifications
The length of the charcuterie board is 17" (43.18cm), 6" (15.24cm) wide, and 3/4" (1.90cm) thick.
Construction
The very first thing I do is hand select each piece of wood that I use for all of my projects. Once all of the pieces of the charcuterie board are glued, I shape and sand the board. The board then gets a bath in all-natural mineral oil, dried, then another bath. Once dried, I put on a coat of Just Another Woodcrafter's Cutting Board Butter. This is a combination of all-natural beeswax and mineral oil.
